The World Climbing Series Chongqing 2026 is the 429th World Cup or World Climbing Series event in history, as well as the 151st Speed competition for both women and men. It is the ninth event to be held in Chongqing and the 48th in China.

A total of 100 athletes - 57 men and 43 women - across five continents registered to compete, with four climbers set to make their debut on the World Climbing Series stage.

ATHLETES’ HIGHLIGHTS

Poland's Anna Brozek attends her 53rd World Climbing Series level event, making her joint third on the all-time list for women. Teammates Natalia Kalucka attends her 36th and Aleksandra Kalucka her 31st. France’s Capucine Viglione attends her 30th.

For the men, Poland's Marcin Dzienski attends his 69th World Climbing Series level event, making him second on the all-time list for men and needing to attend four more to become the first. Italy’s Ludovico Fossali attends his 59th event and sixth on the all-time list of attendances for men’s Speed. Iran’s Reza Alipour Shenazandifard attends his 48th World Climbing Series event.
