World Climbing Councils

World Climbing organises its global activities through five Continental Councils: Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and Pan America; each responsible for supporting the development and promotion of climbing within its region.
In accordance with Article 15 of the Statutes, these Councils operate under the full oversight of World Climbing, following its rules and regulations, and do not act as independent entities. They organise Continental Series and other regional competitions, implement World Climbing sport initiatives, and report regularly to the Executive Board and General Assembly. Each Council also includes an athlete representative to ensure active athletes have a voice at the regional level, aligning all activities with World Climbing’s global strategic objectives.
