WORLD CLIMBING OCEANIA YOUTUBE CHANNEL TO LAUNCH WITH SPEED CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

World Climbing Oceania Championship in Speed to mark debut of the third continental channel.

World Climbing will launch a new YouTube channel dedicated to Oceania on the occasion of the World Climbing Oceania Championship in Speed, set to take place on 14 February in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.

THIRD SATELLITE CHANNEL

Named World Climbing Oceania, the channel becomes the third continental satellite platform created by World Climbing. It follows the launch of World Climbing Europe at the beginning of the 2024 season, and World Climbing Pan America, which went live in November 2025. The new channel will host live streaming and video content from all World Climbing continental events in Oceania, expanding access to competitions across the globe.

The launch will coincide with the World Climbing Oceania Championship in Speed, offering fans the opportunity to follow the action live as the region's top Speed climbers compete for continental titles.

SECOND EVENT AT THE FEET OF MAUAO

Mount Maunganui, the host location, is a coastal suburb of the city of Tauranga, situated on New Zealand’s North Island. The event will be staged at Blake Park, a large multi-sport complex located in the northern part of the city.

In February 2025, Mount Maunganui hosted the first-ever Oceania Cup, also in Speed, with gold medals awarded to home favourites Sarah Tetzlaff and Julian David.

The introduction of World Climbing Oceania on YouTube represents another step in strengthening continental visibility and ensuring consistent coverage of Climbing competitions worldwide.
