A record 47 nations, milestone appearances, and a unique doubleheader highlight the event
The World Climbing Series Prague 2026 is the 423rd World Cup or World Climbing Series event in history, featuring the 163rd Boulder and 238th Lead competitions. It is also the ninth event held in Czechia and the sixth in Prague.
In total, 311 athletes from a record 47 nations and five continents are registered to compete in Boulder and Lead.
For the first time in history, two Boulder-and-Lead doubleheaders are set to take place within the same calendar season, with the first one being in Prague and the second following in Innsbruck, Austria, from 17 to 21 June.
Only three athletes in history have managed to win gold in Boulder and Lead at the same event: Sandrine Levet of France at Edinburgh 2003, Colin Duffy of the USA at Innsbruck 2022, and Janja Garnbret of Slovenia on four occasions, all in Innsbruck: 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
