World Climbing President Marco Scolaris and Secretary General Piero Rebaudengo met with IOC President Kirsty Coventry and Sport Director Pierre Ducrey last Thursday in Lausanne
At the centre of the conversation there was an overview of the current geopolitical situation and the resulting challenges for the world of sport. The IOC President was informed of the format change of the General Assembly, which had been forced by recent events.
The future timeline for the decision-making process regarding the Olympic sport evaluation and Brisbane 2032 sport programme was also discussed.
President Coventry was also informed of the current development of our sport and its activities.
Taking the opportunity of being in the Olympic Capital, Scolaris met with Ingmar De Vos, the President of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) for an exchange of views on the overall situation.
