IFSC COACHES CLINIC HELD IN COLOMBIA WITH OLYMPIC SOLIDARITY SUPPORT

The project was launched by the Colombian Federation of Sport Climbing (FCED) supported by NOC

The Colombian Federation of Sport Climbing (FCED), through the Colombian Olympic Committee, successfully implemented a national coach education project approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through the Olympic Solidarity Fund.

The initiative, titled “Orientation and Strengthening of Technical Competencies for Climbing Coaches and Instructors,” was designed to support the continuous professional development of climbing coaches and instructors, strengthening technical knowledge and coaching standards within the country.

The project was delivered as an IFSC Coaches Clinic, with the valuable support and official endorsement of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC), which validated the program through the National Olympic Committee and appointed the coach responsible for delivering the clinic in Colombia.

The clinic was conducted by Daniel Serman (Chile), IFSC Coach, and took place from December 8 to 19. The program represents a significant step forward in the development of coach education in Colombia and reflects the strong collaboration between FCED, the IOC through Olympic Solidarity, and the IFSC.

This initiative reinforces the shared commitment to raising technical standards, promoting best practices in coaching, and supporting the sustainable growth of sport climbing at national and international levels.
