World Climbing has removed the World Climbing Europe Youth Series Brussels 2026, which was scheduled for 30 and 31 May, from the calendar. On May 19, a letter from the hosting climbing gym, Le Camp de Base, declared its opposition to the presence of the delegation of young Israeli athletes, which led to the competition being cancelled.

World Climbing and World Climbing Europe did everything possible to keep the event as planned, organising meetings with the Belgium and Israel Federations together with the gym, but no possible situation in line with the sport regulation was found, nor was it possible to relocate the competition.
