Climbing is now officially represented in Uruguay as the AUDE becomes the 103^rd member of World Climbing, and the 18^th in Pan America.

Led by President Tomas Dattwyler, the AUDE was informed by World Climbing Secretary General Piero Rebaudengo of their successful application as a recognised National Federation and will continue to develop the sport in the country.

The inclusion will be ratified at the upcoming World Climbing General Assembly 2026 taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Following the ratification, the voting rights of the AUDE will come into effect.
